So don't mean to ask the same questions over again but just to clarify on this particular model the Date and 40 hour power reserve function work, but the chronograph does not right ?

The date of the watch will be fully functional but any other sub-dials will be just for show! If you wish to have fully functional chronographs we recommend you purchase a Swiss quality watch.

No, the chronographs on our Japanese models are not functional. The chronographs only work on our Swiss model watches, this is a Japanese model and as such the chronographs are for show only. If you want a watch will working sub dials, you will need to buy a Swiss model watch.
