Yes, it is functional.
With the dual time zone watches there is an extra position for the crown and an extra hand which shows GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Basically you use the first position to set GMT time and then the second position to set the hour hand to your home time zone. You can then turn the dial to to select any time zone in the world.
It is a little complicated to explain in detail in an email so I recommend you watch this video.

Nice, but arrived with a few problems. Attractive watch but arrived with a loose power winder screw. Then a clasp rivet broke. However it was not worth shipping back because I had the tools to repair both defects. Many watchmakers may repair for minimal cost but still may be annoying for some customers. Mechanism does not feel as tight as others from Perfect Watches.overall three stars.

Great Watch. I owned an authentic Rolex GMT II for several years and ended up losing it. I ordered this watch after reading some reviews posted here. I received the watch this week, and I have to say I really cannot tell it apart from my original. It appears to be in perfect working order. The red on the bottom of the bezel was slightly off color would be my only criticism, however if I had not owned an original, I would have never known. I took it to a watch shop to have it sized for my wrist, and after examining the watch, one repair person said they could not work on it because they were not certified to work on Rolex watches. Even the watch repair shop did not know it was a replica. Weight feels exactly like the original too.

Overall good watch with couple problems. Visually, stunning when I first opened the box! All the functions work as it should. The hand swiped like nobody's business. For a replica, it can not get better unless you really through down at least a third of price of the original!!

The followings are what I discovered after owning it for several months:

1. The luminous parts of the watch was very dim even exposed to the direct light source for plenty of time. I thin it's the material they use.

2. This watch doesn't response the watch winder. Specific reason unknown but it does work when I manually wind it or wearing it. It could be the direction of the winder turning?? Not sure

3. The bezel is a bit off center and the paint does come off easily if you are not careful.

Overall, I still would recommend it because the price and it is such a beautiful watch!!
